Love this! This app makes me want to type from my iPad and not my laptop. It feels so good when I hear that satisfying click...the old school typewriter that taught me how to type is still my favorite. And now I can pretend Im in high school sitting in typing love notes to the boy who sat next to me.

Such a sweet, wonderful app! The free features are great and the paid features are awesome. Its definitely one of the coolest apps for writers, plus Ive always wanted a typewriter. Thanks technology!!!

It was a very interesting app. But, I didnt really feel like it was needed.

App itself is beautiful. But using the keyboard in other apps doesnt work right at all. Would love to see an update/fix especially for the large iPad Pro as well.

Let me start with if I get an iphone as I intend to, I will probably redownload Hanx there to get the keyboard function for general use in other apps. I am a writer. Thats why I was delighted with this. The sounds of a type writer are music to my ears. I really wanted to like this app. But its a disaster. The application itself isnt even as efficient as my built in notepad application. Without a purchase, you can only maintain a single document. There is no formatting, no emboldening, no italicizing. I recognize that Typewriters dont have this features but lets be real. This is a Type Writer program. They should be there. At the moment I am struggling with trying to figure out how to export twelve single space pages of narrative. There is no apparent means to do so. The Email button does nothing. The copy button does nothing. Select all does not do more then a page at a time, and as the application puts you on a new page each time, this is a nuisance. I dont use my on screen keyboard, as a rule. I write too much and it slows me down. Thats why I have a blue tooth keyboard case. When paired with the app, I was delighted to hear the tones and sounds remained! As I was disappointed with the app itself, when I learned I could purchase the keyboard for use with other applications, I was delighted. Until I realized it was wasted money, and when paired with other applications and my keyboard I received no sound. The application has a novelty feel. But its not good for anything else. A short letter, maybe. But if youre writing anything of substance, anything over a single page, or need an formatting-Id suggest google docs instead.

I love the sounds and the feeling of the app. Its so authentic. Some updates needed for iPad Pro, or iPads with larger screens, thats my only criticism.

This is my first review ever. Id give 5 stars even if it was an app with 3D poop pics, because its Hanx.

AZERTY keyboard works very well with LOGITECH external keyboard. Great software with really realistic sounds. Fonctionne très bien avec le clavier Logitech externe. Très belle application avec des sons très réalistes.

But Id love a french keyboard - AZERTY!

its a great app, but to really shine it needs azerty keyboard . . . it would also be nice to save to photos camera roll, so, the type can be used in art apps. until then, a 4 rating.

The lack of AZERTY keyboard layout is really a shame, because theres a truly great potential in this app!

only english, options very expensive... Very bad

When I was 5, my grandma teached me typing on that machine... It feels great to remember :)

I love this app! Once you are in the free portion of the app, you have a chance to try the additional, for-purchase typewriters, at no cost, before purchasing. Personally, I love all of the typewriter options, and it was interesting to see how my typing speed changed with each one! Very charming app. Highly recommended. For those of you unhappy due to the lack of an Azerty keyboard, think of it as a chance to expand your horizons to a keyboard that doesnt require three keystrokes to get a full-stop onto the page. Expanding your skill set, and on a super cool, free app! How can you complain about that? ;-)

Everybody knows that you should program a french dictionnary into your app. The app crashes everytime when I write a "^" onto my "o" or "i"... Pretty bad when you like to tap fast... Do not download this app, or pay it upload pack because, for the moment, its not for french users... Change this and it will be a five stars mark for you ! Thx !
