SUPER COOL, but try and fix some of the bugs

The concept of an electronic typewriter is very cool. However, some of the key sounds arent too realistic, and you cant do everything you could on a real typewriter. Overall though, very good for those who dont have access to a typewriter.

I write poetry a lot and this app makes it amazing ! But I decided up graded to a new i phone.I backed everything up on my I cloud including my apps. I got everything back but not my poetry. I had 60 written and now its lost. This app would be perfect if somehow it also has a way of saving everything into the I cloud or e mail.

Hey, OK! I was doubtful at first, but after my second cup of coffee, I was sold. I dont like Pages for writing, too much set up crap to deal with. I am just a trash writer, and this typewriter tickles my bones. 7 a.m. and I am working it. Good job Tom Hanx and crew!

At first I was a bit embarrassed by the thought of using this app, what with the cheesy name and the overall novelty associated with "recreating" an experience that I am too young to have had. However, the rhythm and the style have won me over. I wont be turning up my speakers at Starbucks and writing in plain view of the other patrons, mind you. But in the comfort of my own home, when I need the writing experience to just feel good, like the page is my target and Im hitting the mark with every keystroke.. I couldnt ask for a better experience (except of course owning a typewriter, but then, wheres the practicality in that?)

More garbage in the App Store that hasnt been cleaned out... This app crashes every few seconds when using any kind of external keyboard. While it works great with the on-screen keyboard, this is completely impractical because of the lack of screen real estate when the on-screen keyboard and app graphics are taking up more than half the screen. This is an app for someone who can and will write, but isnt something to sit down and type out a novel on. The pages are too large, and revising is difficult. More of a novelty than a productivity app.

I love this app! For the last few years, Ive been trying to motivate myself to write my fiction novel. Im always writing academic papers, essays, books, etc., but its always like pulling teeth. Since my first typing experiences were with a typewriter (I took a typing class in high school), I find that the typing sound motivates me to write. I was looking for a typewriter, but do not have an adequate set up for it and a typewriter is hardly portable - even though there are portable typewriters. After downloading this app, the soothing sound of the typewriter seems to make the ideas flow easily. Writing is no longer like pulling teeth. Because the world processing is limited, I get all my ideas out with this app, export the document, and edit using Pages or (on my laptop) Scrivner. Having said all that, heres the downfall. I cant use the onscreen keyboard and always carry a portable keyboard when I go out to my local coffee shop to write. This app has a problem with outside keyboards because it crashes after typing out a few paragraphs. Please fix this problems. Now that the ideas are flowing, itll be a shame if something as minor as a crashing app slows me down.

Easy to use. Recommend the Hanx Typewriter.

When you use the app itself it seems to work fine, but when you purchase it and add to your keyboards, its non responsive. Theres a major lag time between typing on the keys. Overall its an interesting app though.

I love that I can type like a crazy women on this app. Its much faster rate than what google docs lets me type at- however it keeps closing out after a couple of paragraphs. Im using the apple Bluetooth keyboard while I use it. Still a bit difficult navigating around in the document itself however Im not worried about that. Can you guys fix the crashing problem? PLEASE. I love it and want to keep using it...

I love the features of the typewriters, and how you can use them outside of the app; however it would be much better with iPad Pro compatibility options.

It makes you smile hearing the return carriage sound and its an easy to use, quick way to write emails, notes or letters with no learning curve.

I write a great deal. This is a derivative of my time at Stanford. I LOVE to write. Word processing software is fine, but somewhat boring. Something was missing during the creative process. This amazing tool truly brought back the joy of writing. A truly superlative effort!

Awesome is all I can say.
