I downloaded this app because I thought it would be fun. But now when I use the app there is no shook shook sound when I am typing. I am disappointed. Am I the only one having this problem?

UPDATE: Still waiting for someone from customer service to address the issue. I wish they would fix the crashing problem. Its so annoying. I love that I can type like a crazy women on this app. Its much faster rate than what google docs lets me type at- however it keeps closing out after a couple of paragraphs. Im using the apple Bluetooth keyboard while I use it. Still a bit difficult navigating around in the document itself however Im not worried about that. Can you guys fix the crashing problem? PLEASE. I love it and want to keep using it...

Love the app, just one question, have you thought of making templates for different writing formats like movie scripts, plays, novels etc.? That would really be awesome.

Love this app, but its got some problems. Its very prone to crashing with a Bluetooth keyboard. This is pretty hard to forgive, as any typing/writing/word processor software for iPads should work well with keyboards. The whole point is to type and not everyone has the patience or desire to use the on-screen keyboards. I dont like that you cant have more than one document without paying for the option. The app comes with a document already strarted, so you cant start an original doc without paying. Considering this apps tendency to crash with a keyboard at random, Im not knocking people over to get my wallet out. If the stability issues with keyboards were fixed, Id look at spending the $5 for all the features. Im not going put money into an app thats this touchy though. Why should I when FocusWriter is free, has typewriter sound effects, typewriter fonts, and is completely stable? Great idea, and I hope they fix this issue. With that said, the devs need to make sure this works with keyboards if they are going to charge for basic features like having more than one document.

Id downloaded this a long time ago and it was working fine but then Id forgotten about it. Recently, I tried to open the app again but it crashes right when I do. Im using iOS 9.3.1 on iPad Air.

Okay. First off, this is a wonderful emulator of a typewriter. It makes the sounds as you type. Demands you to press back space for every letter and space. And with a little extra cash, gives you two more options for your ideal typewriter. Each typewriter has its own sound effects and ink style that add to the authenticity. You can even change typewriters while you are typing as a creative way to highlight or add style to certain words. After saying that, it frustrates me to list its short comings. First, it has not been optimized for ipad pro yet, so say goodbye to the perfect keyboard while using the app on that device. Second, forget using a bluetooth keyboard to work around the separated keys on the app. Using one will cause the app to crash, especially when deleting errors. And lastly there is no way to organize the files once they are made. Making locating a specific one harder and harder the more you add to the app. Sigh. Overall I recommend a different app for serious writers. The chore of switching between key boards to add a simple apostrophe or question mark is just the little bit frustrating I dont need to break my flow.

I have been looking for an app like this. So realistic and I love to write stories on this app. I just wish you had a library on this app that you could save your documents. Like Google docs.Other then that error it is a great app.I highly suggest it for writing lovers.

Not bad, reminds me of my typing days. iCloud is a plus for us with multiple devices. Also could use more organization, really better organization on created files.

I bought the writers block bundle to unlock all features and it doesnt even share across devices. Bought it on ipad, but I would have to pay again on my iPhone. I wish there was a description somewhere that would have let me know. I would advise getting a different app!

I cant believe how well this app simulates using a real typewriter. Ive read some of the other reviews and as usual, theres a lot of complaining and whining about what this app could and should have. The app is well designed and thoughtfully organized in a beautiful and simple way... and I purchased the other typewriters as well, just to support the developer. It is not a document organizer, its not a dairy, its not a one stop for full text and word processing. Its a delicious typewriter simulator and is great for getting words onto paper, maybe first draft. It has its own peculiar quirks and a few user setting, but not to many to distract much. It is my favorite writing app, and Im sure that Ive purchased all of them, since the beginning of IOS. This is a winner. Finally, I can stop looking for the write/right app.

I would like to revise this review now that I have bought the additioanal package upgrade. Its almost there! The two additional ones do not impress me, so I still like the original typewriter. What I do like is the black and red "ribbons", but $5 is a high price for just that, provided you dont use the additional typewriters that come with the upgrade. So for most of you it would be cheaper to just buy one of the typeriter styels, but without testing them, how would you know what are they like? I would suggest the IMPROVEMENT of having a password lock for the files individually or overall; The only thing that is missing now is the password lock -- so i like it more. I deleted deleted previous criticism I would love to be able to export a png or jpg that can be sent to twitter. I found a workaround y sending to the App NotesPlus which in turn can export to the little birdie. Looking exactly as it does in the App. Neat! But would be great if it could export directly from the inside. I am thrilled by the potential of the App. I already started to write more just because the sounds provoke my creative juices. I find the sounds soothing and inviting. Great for writers! Great for typing anything! Great idea!

This is a very cool app. I only need to write one paper with a typewriter but I am thinking, I missed out on something.

I used it as an additional keyboard and it went haywire. I finally turned it off (full-access) assuming I could go back to using the iOS keyboard. I was WRONG. I cant even reply to a text without the Hanx Writer popping up to ask me if I want to learn more while simultaneously CHANGING who Im replying to. Total waste of money to buy the extra keyboards and allow full access. I should not have paid for any of it. :-( Update: I had forgotten the annoyances of the past and re-installed the Hanx Writer. And it still does not work!! Its even worse than before. It types letters all by itself when attempting to send a text message and then freezes so that I cannot delete the random letters. If I could give negative stars, I would.

I really want to like this app (the sound is great when you type) but it crashes every few minutes or so. Using a bluetooth Apple keyboard. So - hopefully devs will fix it, and I may get full version. At the moment, almost unusable.

Its a beautiful interface with a great look and feel...but they really, really, REALLY need to fix the crashing problem. Ive upgraded to the full version, Ive tried using it with wifi disabled...it still crashes. Im using an older iPad with it, and that may be the problem. It remains the best typing app on the market, though. Nothing else comes close. Please just solve the #@!!*%$##!! Crashing issue.
